The enchantment of the property in winter

The end of November and the entire month of December are times of sharing that get us in the mood for Christmas. In this end of year period, the entire region dresses in its suit of lights and, sometimes, it even snows. The Christmas markets are a favourite place to experience this atmosphere. The air is infused with spicy aromas. The chalets lay out their sweet and savoury titbits, their elixirs and their handmade items. Age-old customs come back to life to the rhythm of the festive calendar. They thus testify to the attachment that the local people have to values passed down from generation to generation.

Everywhere, from village to village, atmospheres vie with each other to fill you with wonder. Fairy tales are especially important at this time. Populated by highly colourful characters, they are the promise of wonderful evening gatherings. As you wander around, workshops open to the public allow you to play your own part in these moments of festivity. You will doubtless go away full of ideas, recipes and pretty objects to relive an Alsatian Christmas in your own home.
